Media Project

When discussing our media project with my collaborative group we knew we wanted something that had the ability to influence minds and hearts.  In a time where we are saturated with information, podcasts stand out as a dynamic medium capable of shaping opinions, sparking conversations, and driving change. With so many tuning in worldwide, podcasts have evolved from mere entertainment to a vital platform for thought leaders, storytellers, and activists alike.

While my personal exposure to podcasts was limited, my collaborative team assured me that they were fairly easy to create, requiring nothing more than a device equipped with a microphone. We began by selecting a template on Canva, each member contributing a photo and outlining the topics for discussion. Later, we meticulously penned our "scripts" within a shared word document, which evolved into more of a guiding framework during the recording process. Gathering on Zoom, we engaged in a round-table discussion, recording our dialogue. Amanda's expertise in iMovie proved invaluable during the post-production phase, as she adeptly separated sound clips from video and streamlined the final product, ensuring a seamless and engaging experience for our audience.

Welcome to EdTech Talks, where we explore all the work that we have been doing in our master’s journey.  We decided to dive into the world of podcasting, discussing our innovative education projects that are leaving lasting impacts on students of all ages.  Though, we all have different experiences in education, we were able to easily come up with a name for our podcast that really encompasses all our topics and knowledge.
