Assessing Digital Learning

My action research aims to explore the effect that blended learning has on kindergarten students' behavior during their literacy block of learning.  This research seeks to grasp how blended learning through the station rotation model can cultivate a climate where students are able to own their own learning through choice, voice, and authentic learning experiences.

Based on this literature review, I will continue to explore how digital tools and programs used in blended learning can affect the “on-task” behaviors desired in the classroom.  Educators, particularly early education teachers, are always trying to find ways to keep students engaged and on-task.

My research aims to prove that when students can own their learning, they are more accountable to themselves and one another, leaving space to create an environment that is conducive to active engagement and positive behaviors.
