Course Description

Welcome to my Kindergarten Math course focusing on internalizing number combinations up to and including 10! In this innovative blended learning format, young learners will embark on an exciting journey to develop a deep understanding of fundamental number concepts in a fun and engaging way.

Throughout this course, students will explore various interactive activities, games, and multimedia resources carefully designed to promote a solid grasp of number combinations. By utilizing a blend of online modules and hands-on activities, we aim to provide a dynamic learning experience that caters to diverse learning styles and preferences.

Aligned with Kindergarten Math TEKS and centered on competency-based progression, students have the freedom to progress at their own pace, mastering the skills of decomposing numbers up to 10 and then 4-9. Our blended learning format offers a variety of modalities, accommodating both in-person and online experiences. Encouraging autonomy, students are empowered to notify the teacher when they're prepared to "level up," taking ownership of their learning process. Through regular station work, problem-solving, and collaboration, students actively engage in authentic learning experiences. Additionally, they cultivate their voices by sharing their thought processes through reflective posts, fostering a deeper understanding of mathematical concepts.
